I am an Assistant Professor in the Strategy area at the Indian School of Business. Previously I held a position in the entrepreneurship department at IESE Business School.

I am interested in how technological innovations are transformed into value creating commercial outputs via entrepreneurial actions. Broadly, my research interests lie at the intersection of technology innovation, entrepreneurship & strategy. I categorize my research into three broad stream within the knowledge-based view of the firm paradigm. The first stream focuses on performance of start-ups from the point of view of an investor, especially absence of liquidity events; the second explores organization learning processes during innovation and related corporate activities; and the final research stream contributes to the network literature on innovation.

Prior to pursuing an academic career, I worked in the wireless telecommunications industry for over twelve years in Spain, Silicon Valley and India as an entrepreneur, manager and engineer. In 2001, I founded Kubi Wireless, the premier Wireless internet Service provider in Spain. This initiative was 1st Runner Up in the European Business Plan of the Year and was recognized by  Actualidad Económica as one of the  "100 Best Ideas of the Year"

I did my doctoral studies at the Wharton School. I also hold an M.B.A from IESE Business School, and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
